RISIV. Regenerar e Innovar: Voluntariado de impacto social para jóvenes

RISIV stands for “Youth Impact Volunteering for Social Impact”. The main objective of this initiative is to provide a model for social inclusion through a design and testing process. We will develop didactic and practical materials that will support young people in managing their own social impact volunteering projects. The results of the project will be developed over a period of 24 months, between March 2021 and February 2023.

The young people are able to detect the origin of a social problem, but they lack the necessary tools to devise a possible solution or to bring together different social actors to implement it. We therefore want them to have the opportunity to “take action” and, thinking in their own neighbourhoods, to develop feasible local solutions that they can implement in their own neighbourhoods. RISIV will promote this engagement by offering non-formal methodologies and practical resources to implement a SIP.

The working teams (composed of youth workers, facilitators and “youth leaders”) will have to implement a SIP related to community services, volunteering and non-formal learning. They will define which project they want to implement and will carry it out with the support of all partners in the different countries. The draft SIPs will make use of the tools and training material developed within the project until they reach their final version.
